For the fans who love to read comic books, I want to introduce to you a nifty little program for iPhone & iPod Touch. You can buy Comic Zeal from app store for $1.99 (avg rating is 4.5 stars) and after that you can download unlimited number of classic comics from 1930s and 1940s. So if you are in NYC like me, why don’t you download the comics and read them on the subway. =) You can read them either portrait or landscape mode.

    AirPaint

Peter Norby from Trapcode recently released AirPaint for iPhone & iPod Touch. In a nutshell, AirPaint uses the built-in accelerator to estimate how you move the iPhone or iPod Touch when painting a stroke and the stroke is then displayed on your screen. I use to do this often using my digital camera with long exposure time. In my opinion, I don’t think the app is ready for prime time but I know it will get better since Peter Norby created it! You can purchase the app for $0.99 from iTunes App Store.

If you are a fan of romance titles, you can soon start reading them on your iPhone. Not only that, you can also save some trees. :)

BooksonBoard, an ebook company with more than 270,000 titles, will bring romance titles to the Stanza reading platform–reportedly the first time new titles will be sold on the popular platform created by LexCycle that allows iPhone and iPod Touch users to read digital books. Click Here for GalleyCat’s interview about that company.

    iPhone 3G As Modem? Yes

    iPhone 3G As Modem? Yes

It seems that iPhone owners will be able to use the popular mobile as a modem, an ATT rep has recently announced. So if you plan to use your laptop by hooking it up to your iPhone (a/k/a tethering), soon this will be available locally. Just don’t ask me when this will be allowed. No release date given.

Rumors have it that tethering through your iPhone is not going to be free. It is estimated at an additional $30 per month, on top of your data plan charges. Ouch!

Tethering is great for accessing the net on the go, as you can use your laptop’s bigger screen but have it powered by your cell phone’s modem. This is (of course) assuming you’re someplace that doesn’t have free web access.
