How To Recycle Your Old Iphone: 6 Easy Methods

Where Can You Recycle your Old iPhone?

With the iPhone being one of the most popular mobile phones today, it will soon be a problem in our landfills, as currently only about 5% of cell phones get recycled.

Maybe you’ve grown tired of your first generation iPhone, or maybe there is another cell model that has been manufactured, (such as the G1 Phone) that you would prefer. Whatever the case, the best thing to do with your old iPhone is to recycle it. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways and at a variety of places. Let’s take a look below at 6 easy methods.

Several ways you can dispose of or recycle your old iPhone:

  1. Original place of purchase such as the retailer or manufacturer
  2. Drop it off at a local electronics shop like Best Buy, Office Depot, or Staples
  3. Check out the The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) website (they have a huge list of locations where you can recycle your first generation iPhone)
  4. Support and help a worthy cause, such as Phones For Soldiers
  5. You call sell your iPhone and make some cash
  6. Give it to a friend or family member to use (pay it forward)
